How to show a video before running the game?

Hi,

I created an emulator running /usr/bin/bash and going in a folder having .sh-scripts. This works fine.
But now I have a script:

Code: Select all
#!/usr/bin/bash
mplayer -fs $somevideo
$code_to_run_a_game

The script works perfectly fine when run without wahcade. When I start this from wahcade, the popup which comes when starting a game pops up, but nothing else happens!
Not even the sound of the game nor the video is heard so it is not run "behind" wahcade. If I comment the line with mplayer to not run the video, the game works fine. But I really
need the video to show before. What can I do? mplayer is not mandatory! If it works with any other player on linux, this is solved!

Greetings

The logfile says that mplayer is started… but there is nothing to see or to hear and after i wait the time the video has the games is not started/nothing changes.

I see that the command wahcade runs is:
"/bin/sh -c /usr/bin/bash "$mybash.sh" >> $userpath/.wahcade/wahcade.log 2>&1"
This is kind of redundant. Is there a way to run a bash script without having to give the application? /bin/sh is run anyway and this should suffice? Or just run the script directly, the system will understand the shebang?

Works fine if I use mpv instead of mplayer. Solves this for me.
