How to set default list?

Postby bagleemo » Wed Oct 22, 2008 5:46 pm

Hello -

Is there a way to set which of the lists (and layouts) is first loaded when running wahcade?

My cocktail cabinet can transition to an upright, but it usually always starts in cocktail mode. So I'd like the default list / layout that loads to be my vertical monitor orientation games.

Wah!Cade should remember which list and emulator it was using when it shuts down. Do you mean a default that over-rides this setting?

Yes, if possible it would be nice to have a default list override whatever setting was last used when Wahcade first starts up.
Hard to explain without the pix - I'll post the link to my completed! cabinet here:
(Is it ok to post this as a new thread on this forum just to show it off?)

So it would be great to have wahcade default to my vertical layout / list orientation upon first opening, because my cabinet is generally always stored in the "cocktail" position. If the user wants to play landscape oriented games then they can change the game list to view those, and then lift the tabletop to transform the cabinet to that position... The pix linked to above should make it all clear.

Anyhow - thanks to Andy and Battlecat and everyone else that contributes to Wahcade for making some great software! I'm very glad to be able to use it.

AMAZING CAB! Can you give us a few shots of it running Wah!Cade? That would be great for the homepage. Don't you think so Andy?

I would love to see and read a detailed description of your building this cab. Are you a pro woodworker? How on earth did you build the control boxes?
