Scripts for Amiga and Sharp X68000

Scripts for floppy disk based systems such as Amiga and Sharp X68000 need to be written so that WahCade can extract and load a set of disk images from a single zip file and then return them to the zip file. can anyone take a Whack at that?

In the past I have just unpacked them to a temporary directory then removed the temporary file. This was under windows. I need to get around to setting up gamebase c64 under linux again at some point.

C64 under Linux is easy with vice as long as you use the SDL port. (vice-sdl) the thing is, I don't want the unzipping and removal process to result in unintended deleted files (no use or rm command if possible.) Would you assist? For Amiga I am using WinUAE 2.3.0 under Wine, and X68000 XM6 also under Wine.

Another thing for your MahCade port you might want to look into, is volume control of sound.

C64 gamebase set is an interesting beast regardless of the emulator. It's not something I'm looking at currently but is on my todo the list. I have other more pressing projects atm.

Hello.

For Amiga i am now experimenting with PUAE, wich continues where e-uae left of.
You might want to take a look: https://github.com/GnoStiC/PUAE
So far i tried only a few games.
Integration into wahcade doesn't work yet.
I am also interested in a script to load multiple disk games.

PUAE has alot of problems, it works, but it skips and jumps. At least it did when I used it. So for now, I'm using the Wine+WinUAE method as it works.

Loading ulti-disk games just requires the creative use of scripting. Utilities such as Cowering's Goodtools don't exist to help out here. I wish there was a way of making it so that every day applications could read zip files without extracting them, because this has the potential to get really really messy.

It's a work in progress, i know.
But wine/winuae always asks me to install a newer directx(?) after that it starts, but it is not fast enough.
That's on a Athlon 64, 3400, Ubuntu 10.10.
