help with uae and vice

Postby General_Faliure » Sun Mar 06, 2011 7:20 am

Hello.

I have setup Vice on my cab, but i can only quit it by using the mouse.
Is there another way to quit Vice (using the keys connected to the minipac)?
The same goes for UAE (or e-uae, or Gnostic's Puae)
I also like some tips on wine/winuae, if i start it, it asks me to install directx 9, if i cancel that the game does start.
Winuae works in a window, but if i try fullscreen the screen starts flickering, and i don't know how to quit it normally.

As for Vice, I have found I have to hold Alt and Press Q or F4. (be sure you use the vice-sdl port.)

as for Gnostic's P-UAE, I'm working on that and hatari for the Atari ST based stuff. I find what works best is to go to them and express your concerns on their mailing lists.

Its a build option you pass to configure that tells it to build an SDL interface instead of a GTK+ Interface. I find it works much better. as for UAE, I think that Gnostic's PUAE is the only hope WahCade has of Amiga support. While it is full of bugs, and only works on i586/x86_32 platforms, it functions alot better than plain UAE, and E-UAE.
