More Unofficial Layouts

I think I'm addicted to making custom layouts.

Here's a couple more, just for fun more than anything else.

I've been toying with CoCo emulation in Mess. Hopefully I'll post an INI soon.

I actually am considering implementing a config for Android in WahCade as it has been suggested.

Something else, keep in mind, I only implement systems I can confirm work. I have layouts for Amiga, Sharp X68000, Jaguar, Playstation 2, and other things I just don't implement because I cannot get them working. Layouts are nice to have, but it does me no good if the platform I want to run doesn't work. Thats why I started the Linux emulator advocacy thread.

I know, and I agree. You'll notice I mentioned I've been "MESSing" with CoCo emulation in the original post. I wouldn't bother making a layout if there was no possibility of using it!

I agree as well, Thats why I requested the ZX Spectrum and Amstrad emulators. Those systems are still maintained. (I also wonder if the guy in charge of EmuChrist ever thought he'd see this many of his layouts being used, or that a Linux based organization would be continuing his work.)

I think we can get more platforms effectively supported if we work at it.

I have another Layout request. I am going to be hosting an X-mas LAN war for my buddies X-mas day, I want to control the server and client deployment of the LAN war by WahCade. So what I'd like is a "Networked games" or a "LAN play" layout made.

Interesting. The networked games in this list could be for any platform?

Well, yes. The launch commands are script files usually. They not only launch the programs but they connect nodes to our game servers/domain controllers. There could be one selection for launching Doom with connection to a PDC, another selection for launching Mechwarrior 4 with Wine, and another selection for launching Mednafen Client to Mednafen server for Sieken Densetsu, etc,

That info helps. I'll post something later this evening.

EDIT: Here's a couple initial ideas..

Here are two very rough ideas for PowerPC Mac / PearPC. I'll admit I'm not terribly wild about them, but they're a start:

I'm totally guessing on the DVD layout. I imagine because there won't be a game list, you want something that simply prompts you to insert a disc. I didn't add text for any such prompt, but you could add it yourself in the layout editor:

As an added bonus, here's a Tux layout for native Linux games:
