WahCade File name Truncate

Postby Zombie » Fri Apr 13, 2012 12:45 am

[Thu Apr 12 19:42:41 2012]: ******** Command from Wah!Cade is: /usr/bin/mednafen0.9 "/opt/var/public/roms/nes/Final Fantasy III (J) [T-Eng1.

It looks like something in the way that it sent the command resulted in the name being cut short. It's possible the appearance of the period resulted in WahCade getting confused and thinking that was a File extension.

Code: Select all
[Fri Apr 13 20:45:47 2012]: ******** Command from Wah!Cade is:  /home/sairuk/emulators/qjoypad_loader "escape" /usr/games/mupen64plus --nogui --fullscreen "/home/wmoulden/emulators/n64/roms/Final Fantasy III (J) [T-Eng1.0_FF3jTransTeam].nes"

not a working emulator/rom mix but it does now show the commandline complete for that particular rom

Seems to launch fine on Olympia. Trying on Arcade.

This seems to be reliable. I can run applications easily, and use the start button. There are only a few issues. Sometimes the tracks of music do not cycle. There will be dead silence. Also, The systems are not alphabetized in the Systems list. They seem to be random.

Found another bug, if you change the extension (from uae to fsuae) it will not honor that change, and stay using uae for some reason.

Did you regenerate your list after changing the extension?

Strange. What happens when you generate a new list?

it generates the new list anmd the game list updates, but the extension stays the same. If I roll back it works again.

Originally thought I could replicate this as reported, currently I cannot so I will need more info

changing from
- nes to z64 works
- z64 to fsz64 works
- fsz64 to nes works

here at least

also works z64;fsz64;nes

Where does Mahcade store it's current active INI?

Where ever wahcade stores them, that hasn't changed

Afaik its in the ini folder, loaded into variables at runtime then rewritten when you change emulators/exit.
