Exit menu (R-Pi - commit 137)

Postby Supermat » Tue Sep 17, 2013 11:02 am

Hi,

I installed commit 137 on a Raspberry Pi.
Everything seems to work fine but the exit menu: when I select the "EXIT" option of the menu, the submenu only option showing is "Exit to Desktop".
Anybody can help me understand why "Exit and Reboot" and "Exit and Shutdown" don't even appear as options?
The key mapped to "Exit and Shutdown" doesn't do anything either, so it's not just a visibility problem...

Thanks.

May have something to do with missing packages from what a RPI distro supports.

You need to have python dbus support installed looking at the code. If it cannot import the dbus module at runtime the options will be hiden.

try installing python-dbus?

Bingo! ...almost.
I now have the options in the menu but the key mapped to "exit and shutdown" still doesn't do anything. Same for "exit and Reboot".
On the other hand they key mapped to "exit with options" opens the menu and there, when I select "Exit and shutdown", it works as expected.

In the end it's working for me but now I'm just curious.
There's no error message in the log.
I'm (slowly) looking into the code but didn't find anything yet.

Thanks for now.

The log is relatively new, there is only limited items in there at the moment, glad to hear it is working

Back playing with my RPi after a long pause...

The option is simply not implemented (but why?)

in win_main.py at line 790 add:

elif mw_func == 'EXIT_AND_SHUTDOWN':
self.play_clip('EXIT_AND_SHUTDOWN')
self.exit_wahcade('shutdown')

and it works.
