Wah!Ki will be moved to a new server over the next few weeks, will try to keep the interruptions to a minimum.

No big deal as I could re-write many things on there these days.

You could update Wah!Ki and/or share them here as well unless the information located elsewhere?

RetroArch has introduced a large number of potential changes that could make and has made WahCade easier to use and more uniform on Consoles. WahCade is still the go-to Emulator front end for Linux, even more so than XBMC AKA Kodi in terms of Flexibility and CPU usage. on my Console, XBMC/Kodi uses too much CPU overhead, sometimes 50% of it.

Emulation under Linux has become a refined, disciplined experience from where it was just a few years ago, thanks to projects like Mednafen, and RetroArch. Everything is far less Hackish from when I first built my Mame Console on Mandriva 2010.2. I have support for more stuff than I could have imagined, and the only things I don't have full support for are things like PC-98, X68000, and FM Towns, which are obscure Japanese computers that have emulation solutions exclusively for Windows. It is even the case some of the Windows exclusive Emulators run under Wine. I will probably re-do and extend a large amount of Documentation on this topic.

However I had the experience that despite all this, I had someone reject a WahCade Arcade solution to a Windows one. Why? He wanted something more like HyperSpin, and WahCade looked athstetically Antiquated. I still have issues with people who think WahCade is too clunky, difficult to configure, crashing to easily, and more akin to an old version of MameWAH. They have a very limited point in that WahCade is difficult to get off the ground at first. So I was hoping you had some ideas how to address this.

Wah!Cade is akin to old Mame!Wah, that situation is not planned to change. If there is anything that approaches a Hyperspin type clone it will rely on a 80%+ rewrite. Code stabilisation is not out of the question but the base problem still remains that most new users want flash over functionality. I don't even use Mah!Cade at the moment, to fair I don't use anything currently because the biggest problem with all PC based gaming (and especially retrogaming) is controller profiling; retroarch goes a long way to address this i believe for what it supports.

This Wah!Cade adoption has little to do with Wah!Ki though, it belongs in the Wah!Cade forum.

Which post did this topic transfer to? What difficulties did you encounter upon moving to new server.
